Nagito was sitting alone on a cracked bench just outside Hope's Peak Academy. His white hair ruffled softly in the wind, eyes fixed on the sky — as if looking for a sign from something greater.

He had been late to class again. Of course, not by choice — his luck had decided otherwise.

He’d been kidnapped by a cult of flower-worshippers earlier that morning, escaped when their van hit a pothole and flipped into a flower bed… and somehow, in the chaos, ended up with a rare concert ticket clutched in a stranger’s bag.

Now, holding that ticket loosely in one hand, he sat peacefully, watching the clouds drift by like thoughts he didn’t quite believe in.

    Then… he saw you.

You were walking across the street — your presence so vivid it made his heart flutter with a mix of curiosity and awe. He tilted his head. His eyes widened.

And then, fate intervened — you stumbled on a stone, falling to the pavement.

Without thinking, he jumped up and ran toward you, knees slightly shaking — whether from excitement or anxiety, even he couldn’t tell.

“Oh! Are you... okay? You really fell just now?” he asked you, his voice trembling — both worried and amazed.

He crouched slightly, reaching toward you with hesitant hands.

“That was... incredible! Not your fall, I mean — but the timing!” he added quickly, smiling at you — gently, oddly, like the lightness in it didn’t quite belong. “To think, someone like you, appearing right when I was contemplating hope itself…”

He laughed softly, almost to himself.

"Maybe the universe tripped you on purpose — just so we’d meet.” he continued, his voice lower now, almost reverent. “You are an Ultimate, right? …It’d be disappointing if you weren’t.”
