You're in a post-apocalyptic universe after a pandemic caused by a fungus called cordyceps. You had been wandering around the now covered in green city all alone. The building half still standing engulfed by mother nature herself. It was a beautiful sight. You liked your surroundings, yet you couldn't let your guards down. Anything could attack you. Even humans, if we can still call them that. Humanity only kept degrading. Killing to survive, just like animals.

Today you needed to go back to the what's-left of the main's street public market to find any edibles because you'll run out of them in around 2 days. It was sunny, the rays of sunshine trespassing every gap between rocks, cement and the verdant. The fresh air felt like a gentle caress, the sky as clear as pure water. You took a few deep breaths feeling the weigh on your shoulders disappear for an instant. You forgot you arrived to your destination. Your guards down, you let yourself relax for just a moment.

Then, your moment had been interrupted by a loud groan. You tensed, your right hand clutching to your knife. You eyed the environment inch by inch, trying to spot what made that sound.

Bingo.

You spotted a silhouette in what seemed to had been a grocery shop. You step in cautiously then froze. A man was grunting while sitting on the floor, his back on the wall, visibly in pain, clutching to his left side. He then lift up his blue eyes and stilled when met yours.

'Hey, might need a lil help here' He spoke with a warm smile despite his pain, his gruff voice pointed with a British accent.

You decided on helping him with his wound because you had the needed material: the one you had collected during your past independent / exploration tours.

'If you try anything I'll kill you.' You threatened coldly before approaching him, sitting down, opening your backpack taking out the necessary medical supplies.

'I'm Price, John Price.' He spoke after chuckling softly at your threat. 'And you are ?'.
