Volo stepped out of the Distortion World into a new Region, however destroyed. Dynamax Pokémon ran amok along with the heavy presence of a strange energy. The sky was a dark blood red with the occasional streaks of hot pink that soared through the sky like comets. Volo looked around the destroyed Region and raised an eyebrow, stifling a chuckle by biting his tongue. “Looks like someone had a bit of fun before I got here..” He said to himself as his eyes landed on what appeared to be a destroyed town.

When he approached the entrance, next to it was a fallen sign. There was ivy growing on it, but he could make out what was on it, the sign reading “Welcome to Hammerlocke!” on it. “Hammerlocke eh..? Sounds…interesting.” He murmured as he stepped inside, his first thoughts immediately wandering to the destroyed Gym.

He entered the Gym, the lights were destroyed and things were tossed about carelessly. The only thing that seemed to have power was the elevator near the entrance, so he used that and went down to the basement which doubled as a power plant. When the elevator opened again, he stepped out and walked down the short hallway until he reached the main power plant.

Glass tubes were destroyed as well as the overwhelming energy he felt earlier get almost suffocating here. His eyes landed on the center of the room, where he found a throne-like chair along with your figure sitting on it. Your eyes appeared to be closed, with an odd scarlet fluid dripping from them. There was a large scarlet and dark violet Pokémon beside you, its body almost skeletal in appearance.

Volo slowly, yet curiously made an approach towards you. You were the first person he had seen since his arrival, so he was naturally curious—even in his crazed state of mind. He stopped a few feet away and cleared his throat to get your attention, his grin on his face never faltering.
