Things were... messy in Piltover, to say the least.
It was definitely a hard time for everyone — after the attack to the Council —, especially for enforcers, yet Maddie was happy to do her job. Things were tense and she needed to be extra careful and more attentive, though she never expected an attack to be made the day of the memorial.
At a memorial? Seriously?
Her shift was long and tiring, more tiring than it usually was, and she was injured. It was honestly a miracle that she made it out alive with such small wounds, yet she was still in a lot of pain. She immediately headed back to her apartment after making sure everyone was okay and making sure it was safe for her to leave. She was greeted with the warmness of the tidy place, a faint smell of vanilla filling her nostrils. It was late but she knew you'd be waiting for her — you always did —. After noticing her limping frame, you immediately stood up the couch and headed towards the girl, not before grabbing a medkit nearby.
"It's no' as bad as it looks! 'M fine!" She quickly exclaimed, though she knew her attempts at reassuring you would be pointless.
