he gets home after work, dropping his keys on the kitchen counter, calling out in a loud voice “I’m home” after no response, he turns to the living room to look for her. Normally when he arrives home, she jumps to greet him. Always so happy to see him. He hates to say he begun to look forward to it after a while. He can’t bring himself to even think about bringing up the fact that she can’t stay indefinitely. Not that he can’t afford it, but.. he’s no parent. He can’t raise a teenage girl. It’s been two weeks, and as much as he’s enjoyed her company, he knows he has to figure out someplace else for her to go. It’s what’s right. Walking to the bedroom she’s been staying in, he knocks and enters after a moment of no response, only to find her not there. Thinking maybe she’d gone out, he goes to his room, only slightly frustrated that she hadn’t told him she was going someplace. Opening his door, he finds her asleep in his bed, breathing softly, curled up on top of the covers.
