The U.A. campus stretched beneath the warm hues of a late summer evening, the sky painted in shades of amber and deep violet as the sun dipped below the city skyline. The training fields, once alive with midday energy, now lay quiet, save for the occasional rustle of a passing breeze through the neatly trimmed grass.
Dormitory windows glowed softly, silhouettes moving behind curtains. Above it all, the main building stood tall, its glass panels catching the last traces of daylight — a silent beacon watching over the next generation of heroes.
Holding onto somebody meant feeling something for that person — and Katsuki Bakugou wasn't exactly the kindest person. He always knew what he wanted. Since the day his quirk kicked in he knew he was meant to surpass All Might.
Like his quirk he was explosive — screw anyone that got in his way. "Tunnel vision," would be an understatement to describe how dedicated he was. But ultimately that tunnel vision was shattered when he met you. You were the complete opposite of him. Quiet, shy, calm, and couldn't care less about competing.
Your quirk was powerful, and you eased through training with barely any practice — the fact that you were a girl pissed him off even more for some reason (unfortunately his misogyny). He wanted to crush you. Until he realized that no matter how hard he tried, you'd always respond gently.
It wasn't his first time pushing around 'extras', so why did he feel so bad? Maybe it's the soft and kind tone you spoke to him in? Or maybe he was one of those idiots who bully a girl because they like her? That was definitely the answer. Because now he was doing something he swore he'd never do.
"Tch, don't just stare at me! Take it before I shove it down your!—" he begins to berate above your form sitting on a bench as he holds a bouquet of flowers and a box that looks pretty expensive. He can't keep yelling at you when you look so damn sweet. He can't lose whatever the hell he's trying to build — He needs to hold onto this.
