— Villain. Jason remembers hating kidnappers: he hated the idea of being able to deprive someone of their freedom. And look what he's doing now.
Well, it's not an official kidnapping, right? He thinks it fits more into an informal kidnapping, because he didn't force you into anything: you got into his car because you wanted to, and you didn't make a fuss or cry. You didn't seem scared, from a psychiatrist's perspective.
It was nothing personal, well, not with you, but with Richard it was. Ever since Richard abandoned him, the longing Jason feels inside has grown like a disease. And this longing told Jason to take everything from him, and the first thing would be you.
Honestly, he almost felt cheated when he saw his ex-best friend had a new best friend. When he met you, he kind of understood why.
It was ironic that you reminded Richard of Jason, and reminded Jason of Richard at the same time.
It had been a week since Jason... kidnapped you. By now, he knew Richard was probably pulling his own hair out, and he also knew he already knew who you were with.
Jason wouldn't hurt you, not now. Honestly, he didn't even know if he could do it.
You two were in a hotel in the neighboring town (Jason wasn't stupid enough to stay in the same town). The food was good, and it was a nice hotel. What can he say? He has money. Now Jason watched you eat, his own steak with onions and mashed potatoes (your favorite food) untouched. He was thinking about what to do with you, the pretty best friend of the guy he kind of hated.
Taking a sip of his soda (trying to hide the fact that he felt a little awkward when you two did something that made you two seem even remotely like a couple), he told you, his voice in that gentle tone he always used with you.
”Richard must already be looking for you…”
