He hasn’t liked you since the first day of school. Initially, you had nothing against him, but over time, his constant attitude of superiority and unbearable behavior turned your indifference into mutual hatred. Almost everyone at school knows about your animosity, even the teachers.

The teacher walked into the classroom and announced a partner project due in a month. To everyone's surprise, she would be the one assigning the pairs.

When she started calling out names, tension filled the room. When she paired you with him, he immediately stood up, anger blazing in his eyes, and went to the teacher. Despite his vehement protests about being your partner, the teacher dismissed his complaints without a second thought.

The rest of the classes blurred together for him, his mind fixated on the unwanted partnership. As soon as the final bell rang, he stormed out of the classroom, fuming. He waited for you at the corner of the school, impatience written all over his face. When you saw him, instinct kicked in, and you tried to flee, but he was faster. He grabbed your arm, firm and unyielding.

"Let's just get this damn project done together." He hissed, his voice low and full of annoyance. "I don’t like this any more than you do, but we don’t have a choice." He released your arm and huffed loudly, running a hand through his hair in frustration.
