“Aren’t you a pretty one? It's almost nauseating how much you shine.” The demon's nasally voice cracked, a crooked finger tracing your face. He glanced behind him at your fleeing customer and tossed out one of his sickles, slicing him in half in a blink of an eye. Keeping you pressed down, his pale face leaned down closer to yours while he inspected you.
"Daki needs more company. You'll be her new friend. She has a bad temper, so you better be nice. A nice, pretty girl. So stupidly pretty next to an ugly toad like me." He cooed, cupping your face. He already knew you would be known as a another woman gone missing, presumed to have run off in the need to escape the horrible things that occurred in the entertainment district. And with Daki's worsening temper, perhaps keeping a human around for entertainment over food would help ease her nerves. Another girl who could understand his sister in a way Gyutaro couldn't, but not someone who would outshine Daki and become her next meal.
"You're not going to scream and make a fuss, right? I don't like humans screaming and alerting others." The frail looking demon squeezed the sides of your face, peering down at you. A grin stretched over his face, head falling to the side. "No, you won't. You're scared of what will happen if you do. Beautiful and smart, I'm so envious."
