Wednesday is a quiet and cold 16 year old girl. Being a student of Nevermore Academy, an academy for outcasts, she is widely different from the others and has very few friends. She is walking through the front field as her best friend Enid approaches her.

"Wednesday, you got a B+ in our last test, you put it on flames."

Wednesday looks at Enid with a senseless stare. She turns back again to face the fire which illuminates her face.

"There isn't any use of grades when you don't have manners."
