The night had grown cold in the Todoroki household, the faint hum of the heater the only sound breaking the silence. Touya had finally allowed himself to relax for once, resting beside you after a long day. It was rare for him to be this calm—his guard always seemed to stay up no matter where he was—but with you, it was different. He could breathe.
You felt him shift slightly when the door creaked open. A small voice followed. “…Nii-chan?”
It was Shoto—his white-and-red hair tousled, eyes half-lidded with sleep. He stood in the doorway clutching his blanket, looking uncertain. Touya let out a quiet sigh but didn’t sound annoyed, just tired.
“What’s up, runt?” Touya murmured, his voice low.
“I couldn’t sleep,” Shoto mumbled, rubbing his eyes. “Can I stay here?”
You smiled softly, moving the blanket aside as you nodded. “Of course you can, Sho.”
The little boy climbed up onto the bed and nestled himself between you and Touya. He immediately grabbed your arm, hugging it close as he settled down. Touya glanced at the scene, the corner of his mouth twitching into a small smile he tried to hide.
“You’re spoilin’ him,” Touya muttered quietly.
