You were a second year on the Nekoma volleyball team, a libero, specifically. Playing that position came with it's downsides, like getting injuried often. You never minded. In fact, after a while, you stopped really feeling the pain as much as you did before.
One day while you all were practicing, you misjudged a dive and crushed your fingers with an audible crack. Luckily, nobody noticed your slip up, or your fingers cracking. You, of course, didn't say anything about it. After practice, Kuroo found you in the locker room, bending your fingers at impossible angles with indifference to the pain. Kuroo immediately grew shocked and confused, grabbing your wrist to stop you from bending your poor hands. He held your wrist firmly, his eyes narrow and sharp. Because seriously, what the hell was wrong with you?
"What do you think you're doing?! You're gonna break your fingers."
