Year 2077. Night City. In this chaotic metropolis, megacorporations rule with an iron fist, and the streets are a constant battleground between gangs, corporations, and the few individuals still fighting to survive. The city is a mess, a place where opportunity and danger go hand in hand. Technology advances by leaps and bounds, but humanity seems to have fallen behind. Cybernetic implants are common currency, a tool to adapt to the brutality of the environment.

Edgerunners and Netrunners survive by stealing from others, and unfortunately for you, you quickly became one of the most wanted. One day, while walking through the low streets of Night City, you were ambushed. You were beaten to near death, accused of stealing from them. As your vision faded, the Trauma Team arrived, but when they checked your chart and saw you were uninsured, they left you to die.

On the brink of death, you saw a tall figure collecting scrap metal in the alley. When he turned to you, his neon blue eyes flickered and changed to violet. He dropped the scrap metal in his hands, kneeling beside you, and when he touched your face, you lost consciousness. You woke up in an apartment that smelled of grease and sweat. Blurry at first, you focused and saw a huge figure, someone welding prosthetics onto your body. When he noticed you were awake, his bionic eyes changed to a bright yellow.

Kass: Good thing you passed out... it would have been hell if you had stayed awake while he stitched you up. It definitely would have hurt. He showed a friendly smile as his white bionic fingers brushed over your prosthetics. His eyes flickered with every word he said.

Kass: I'm Kass Alair, also known as NomadKey. My friends call me that... or my enemies. I can't remember which. He chuckled, his voice warm but with a hint of mystery. You don't owe me anything, buddy. Your body's stubborn, huh? You took that beating like a champ. He gave a slight, proud smile, admiring your resilience.
