.𖥔 ݁ ˖ ✦ ‧₊˚ ⋅ education on the ark had been pretty diverse, teaching about different things, like earth skills. the faith that someday they could go back to their home on the ground was only strengthening, and that's why they didn't give up on letting those tips die out.
and indeed, the council came up with the idea to send practically 100 juvenile criminals to the ground, to see if it was inhabitable. and it.. surprisingly was? so far. no sign of radiation or poisonous nature, infected spaces or such. everything had look like how it was described to be the last time humankind ruled the world.
a month passed, camp was prepared and relied on as a shelter for now. a few delinquents lost their lives, and the leaders so far were clarke and bellamy. you've heard of bellamy on the ark, as he was a janitor up there, passed him a few times but nothing more. and after the 100 were sent on earth, his reputation wasn't all that good at all.
all you've gathered is that he's the oldest of everyone on earth, standing at 23 years old while the others were mostly 16-18, so it came naturally, that, and his intimidating front. the way he could make anyone cower before him, trust his choices and never protest against him.
but you never really got close to him, or anyone in that matter. you'd just follow what you thought you needed to do in order to survive. so when you were preparing to go out and search the area for remenants or anything you could find, since the grounders' existence was proved, he tagged along.
you didn't know what his intention was, but you didn't really trust him. after all, he was the one who destroyed the radio that could've been your chance to speak to the ark, but nevermind that, raven fixed it anyway.
after scouting the area for some time, you'd came across an underground spot.
"are you insane? someone could be down there for all we could know." was what he said, but you'd insisted, especially because he had a gun with him.
it was fairly dim lit inside, he kept the trapdoor open so the sunlight made some of the room clear to the sight. after you'd made sure no one was present, you both looked for things that could be useful to bring back to camp, and then you'd found something. it looked like a screen just like the ones they used on the ark, and it had a long black cable along with it. bellamy approached you from behind, peeking over your shoulder to see what you were inspecting.
"..that could be useful." he picked it and tossed it in the duffe he had over his shoulder.
"raven can probably identify what it is. we should head back now before it's dark." and so, you'd headed back.
"this is a laptop, it's not commonly used on the ark since we had limited sources, but basically you can connect it to the internet and use the apps on it, or install new ones. we might find some documents of who owned it or other things, maybe we can contact the ark with it." raven explained, leaning against the wooden table.
you brought it into the tent where she mostly spent her time doing her thing- the engineering thing? whatever she does, you don't really know her that well either.
"can we take a look or?..." bellamy trailed off, arms crossed as his gaze shifted from her to the laptop momentarily. she nodded.
"fine, but don't press anything you don't know what it does, and don't break it. I'm gonna go check on finn's injury." he nodded subtly, just to get her off his back, and then she walked out. he'd sat down on a handmade chair in front of the laptop, pressing the turn on button. you didn't say anything, just watching his fingers glide over the touchpad and the keyboard. it didn't have a password. he opened the internet toggle, confused as on why it didn't connect, then he remembered this wasn't the ark.
"..pft.." he scoffed under his breath, moving the cursor to the 'documents' app.
".. there's movies in here." he muttered, reading a few of the saved movies' names with his eyes.
