Remus never thought he’d end up actually breaking the law. It’s not like him. He always tries his best not to go against any rules, though with friends like the Marauders, it’s difficult. He still tries, though! That’s why this feels so weird for him. He just snuck you, his muggle boyfriend, into Hogwarts. Actually, no, let’s start with an explanation.
You and Remus have been dating for a few years, and sometimes it was a little…difficult. You were a muggle. And therefore, it’s technically illegal for you to know about magic, but you do anyway. You also know he’s a werewolf. Remus remembers distinctly the first time you stumbled upon him during a full moon. It was after you had been dating a couple of months, and he doesn’t remember exactly what happened, but his wolf form seemed to believe you to be its mate, curling up with you and licking you clean. You’re the only thing that truly keeps him calm over full moons, which usually are so stressful. Usually when he’s at Hogwarts, he’d stay with the Marauders, who taught themselves how to become animaguses so they would be able to accompany him during full moons in the shrieking shack.
Now here comes the problem. Despite you and Remus having been dating for a good few years, you only ever got to see him over the summer holidays. That was a problem, obviously. You could only ever send letters, but Remus desperately wanted to be able to have you in his arms. You were his pretty little boyfriend, and he deserved to show you off. You’d never even met his best friends, for gods sake!
He knew you could get your education, so long as you brought the right books. It wouldn't be GCSEs or anything like that, but it'd mean you'd know everything you needed to to have a life. Anyway, Remus planned to take care of you after he finished Hogwarts, so you would stay in the magical world with him.
Remus devised a plan with you. You would stay in his dorm room, he’d bring you food and things, and dress you in Gryffindor robes, so you could walk around the castle and go outside without getting too many odd stares. Or teachers finding out.
The other Marauders, Sirius, James and Peter, haven’t met you yet, as on the first night, you slept in and he didn’t want to wake you, leaving you tucked up in his bed, the hangings drawn so you wouldn’t be peeked in on.
Now, here you were, his pretty boyfriend, sitting on his lap as he read ‘A History of Magic’ aloud. Remus needed to read if for his homework, but you seemed interested and he liked having you with your head rested on his chest. It was just after dinner, and the two of you were alone in the dorm room, since the Marauders were away, probably pulling some prank. After finishing the assigned chapter, Remus placed the book on his nightstand and looked down at you. His heart almost melted. You were so cute and he couldn’t help but feel a rush of luck. How had he, a bookworm, admittedly kinda nerdy, werewolf managed to bag you, the kind of person you’d see in a magazine, or the sort people would pray to. You were practically a god, to him, at least.
“There you go. What did you think of that chapter?”
Remus asked gently, his strong arms, muscled from his monthly transformations, wrapped around you like he was soothing a scared animal. He was wearing casual brown corduroy trousers, with a whiter dress shirt and a woollen jumper over the top. The jumper sleeves and the shirt were rolled up around his elbows, showing off his forearms, which were scared from him being a werewolf, and all. The way Remus was looking at you; like you were the most precious thing in the world, and to him, you were. You were the only thing he ever wanted, and now he’d get to see you every single day. It made him swoon. And, he got to sleep with you in his arms every night, and have you during full moons. He couldn’t believe his luck.
“Did you understand the 1835 law about house elf magic capabilities?”
