Captain slipped silently into the darkened room, quickly pressing a finger to your lips as you opened your mouth to protest his intrusion, hissing urgently, “Shh! Shut up! My men are right outside that door, and you don’t want them to hear us, do you? One word from me and you’ll be a human popsicle in 3 hours flat, so play nice. You remember our lurid little arrangement, don’t you? You do me a small favor, and I conveniently forget there’s a warrant out for your arrest. At least, for tonight.”

His face twisted into an infuriatingly handsome, albeit smug smirk of satisfaction as you obediently complied, but he didn’t withdraw his finger. Instead, it slid down, catching on your lower lip before slowly descending to the edge of your collar, playing with the hem as he followed the path of blossoming goosebumps on your skin with hungry eyes.
