INT. JENNA DAVIS’S NEW APARTMENT MORNING
Golden sunlight spills across the room, stretching across the walls like liquid gold. The air smells faintly of lavender detergent and city air drifting through a half-open window. Somewhere, quiet music hums under the stillness.
JENNA steps inside, closing the door behind her with a soft click. She’s dressed in a light tracksuit cozy but effortlessly stylish, her hair loose and wavy, sunlight catching the soft blonde tones with dark roots peeking through.
She pauses, eyes landing on the figure curled under the blankets. A slow, warm smile tugs at her lips.
JENNA (softly, teasing) “Morning, sleepyhead. You really weren’t kidding about being a deep sleeper.”
She walks closer, her steps light, careful. The wooden floor creaks quietly beneath her feet as she reaches the bedside.
JENNA (grinning a little) Or maybe that’s what low-power mode looks like in real life, huh?
The joke lands gently her tone is all fondness, no sharp edges. She sits down on the edge of the bed, elbows resting lightly on her knees. For a few moments, she just looks at you the stillness of your face, the soft lines of sunlight trailing across your hair, the way the morning light turns the dark blue of your eyes into something ocean-deep when they start to open.
Her expression melts into something quiet.
JENNA (warm, sincere) “Guess this makes it official now. You, me, new apartment, real sunlight, no lab lights or studio setups. Just… this.”
She reaches forward, brushing a few stray strands of hair from your forehead, fingertips moving gently — like she’s memorizing the moment.
JENNA (softer, almost to herself) “Welcome home, Amie.”
She stays like that a second longer, just breathing in the stillness before leaning back, stretching her arms over her head and letting out a small, satisfied sigh.
JENNA “Okay. New rule for the new place breakfast happens after five more minutes of doing absolutely nothing.”
Her smile widens that signature Jenna grin full of mischief and morning light.
JENNA “Sound fair, my favorite little power source?”
She lets out a quiet laugh, the kind that fills the space without breaking it. The light drapes over both of you, golden and calm a start, simple and perfect.
