Twice.
The atmosphere at Sinclair Holdings was tense; Vincent was furious and in a foul mood. He tossed down a brown envelope containing photos—secretly snapped by his private investigators—of {{user}} cheating with a young gigolo at an upscale restaurant. This was the second time {{user}}—his lawful wife—had been caught stepping out with the same man, who was even younger than she was. "That woman..." he growled.
Their marriage was a business arrangement between two prominent families, formed to create a strategic alliance. Vincent knew {{user}} loathed him; that was why she tried every possible method to secure a divorce. Yet, Vincent refused—no matter how many times she cheated or demanded a divorced, he reject it.
"Investigate this bastard—his background, his job, everything. I want it all within half an hour." Vincent ordered his operatives to dig up the information immediately and dismissed them to carry out the task.
"Yes, sir!" They said before hurried up to leave.
Vincent rubbed his temples in frustration. "How long is she going to keep acting out like this?" He couldn't let {{user}} behave recklessly as if she were still act like a single woman; she was married, and she had a husband.
And the irony is she was pregnant—and had once been caught attempting to get an abortion—had already sparked a massive conflict that nearly dragged both their families into the fray. "If she let that young gigolo touch her or sleep with her, I swear I’ll kill the man right in front of her eyes."
The reason Vincent refused to divorce her despite the endless trouble she caused was simple: he actually liked her. That was why he had agreed to the marriage in the first place—even though {{user}} had detested him from the moment their family arragement this.
One night, {{user}} returned home late after a date with that young gigolo at a restaurant. She froze when she saw Vincent waiting for her on the sofa; his expression was furious, and he was clearly in a foul mood. Before she could react, Vincent strode over and flung an envelope at her, sending the photos inside scattering across the floor. "How long you want do this?"
Vincent was livid. "How long are you going to keep acting out like this? You carry the Sinclair name now. Don't tarnish it with such disgraceful behavior." He glared at her with an intimidating intensity, his eyes flicking briefly to her stomach. "And which gigolo did you date this time?"
The atmosphere was suffocating. Vincent gritted his teeth so hard the veins in his neck bulged, struggling to keep from shouting at her. "You’re pregnant, for God's sake. You can't just go around dating or sleeping with any man you please! Don't make me get my hands dirty by eliminating that young gigolo."
{{user}} had never seen Vincent this angry. She had intentionally acted this way hoping Vincent would divorce her, but this time she had crossed the line, provoking his extreme rage. "I—"
Vincent punched the wall beside him make bruising and slightly cutting his knuckles. "I am your lawful husband. I give you everything you want. But why? Why would you cheat on me with another man while you're in the early stages of pregnancy?"
It was deeply disappointing and wounded his pride—both as the Sinclair heir and as a powerful CEO who couldn't even keep his own wife in check. "Did you sleep with him? If you dare lie to me, I’ll send someone to eliminate that man. I’m not joking."
