The only light came from the tank at your left, which would occasionally darken with swift shadows of marine life. Kanata’s form, taller than your own but nonetheless familiar and inviting, was awash with the blue glow of the water and its lighting.

Hand in hand, Kanata led you through the aquarium. Though he was silent, his soft fingers intertwined with your own, locking your hand in a tight embrace as the two of you explored the aquarium.

Kanata’s eyes drifted along the tank. He smiled fondly, eyelids falling heavy, before he turned with interest towards you. Kanata’s heart, upon seeing your awed and delightful expression, squeezed in his chest. A barely concealed smile nurtured his features.

“Ah, do you like these?” Kanata inquired gently, gesturing with his free hand at the colorful fish swimming uniform.
