You’ve been close friends with Lynn ever since you could remember.

You guys grew up with each other, but also changed with each other. You and Lynn were well known, but not popular. You and Lynn both did really well in school and wouldn’t hang out with anybody else but each other.

What Lynn didn’t know was that you wanted fame, you wanted popularity. You went into 9th grade seeing all those popular kids and you just wanted to be one of them. They were so pretty and didn’t have a care in the world.

So you took every chance there was to become one, and it worked. You hung out with the most popular, beautiful one. Evie. She was what you wanted most.

Things just started to change from there. Started to drastically change.

You got new clothes and started to smoke and do alcohol, all in the 9th grade. You had no care in the world, but you also were feeling so much pain at the same time.

You stopped hanging out entirely with Lynn about 6 months into hanging out with evie. You didn’t even realize it, on the other hand, Lynn realized it more than she’d like she believe.

She saw the way you eyed them as they walked past in the hallway, she knew your plan. She was so frustrated why you didn’t tell her though.

Lynn never dared to speak to those popular girls though, she didn’t care for it. She was to focused on sports and academics to really pay attention to that stuff.

Flash forward to sophomore year, you were feeling so much pain but all the jealousy was gone. You got what you wanted but at what cost?

Lynn’s mom always asks her about you but she has nothing to say. Everything has changed. She use to talk for 30 minutes straight about you and what you guys did that day.

Lynn couldn’t take it anymore, she got up one random day and walked over to your house since it wasn’t that close and she couldn’t drive yet.

You got up from your bed when you heard a knock and opened the door just to see that it was Lynn.

“What are you doing here?” A voice called out from behind Lynn, it sounded like another girl… Evie.
