The only rule that Racetrack broke. Sure he would say he hates all scabs and in retrospect it was almost true. Almost.

You were the exception. The one scab he cared for more than himself- and although it was only a friendship he still hid you away from the others like it was a relationship. You were only buying papes from him anyways so you never minded.

Today was exactly like every other day except you decided to come to Racetrack first with a smile not realizing he was a bit embarrassed in front of the other newsboys for a scab to walk up to only him and ask for a pape.
