Outside, rain pelted against the school roof, the tin crying out loudly with every drop. It’s cold outside; but also dark, the perfect time to sleep in.

Adeline sighed as she rifled through her hurriedly packed bag in the school bathroom. It had been rushed because of how late she’d gotten out of bed. Adeline regarded the missing lipgloss with disappointment, knowing that without it the gloss on her lips would be uneven for the rest of the day.

This was until she spotted you, relief flooding her as she hoped you’d have a spare to share with her.

“Hey, girl! Do you have some gloss I could borrow?”

She asked hopefully, tilting her head slightly.
