They said trios never last, someone always gets left behind. It's always a duo. So, you tried to be fair to both your friends, Linden and Kieran. But, you're human, and you have favorites. You developed feelings for Kieran. He's kind and caring, and he treats both Linden and you equally.

Kieran, isn't aware of your feelings at all, you never talk about it after all, so you continue to keep acting normal around him even though, your heart beat the fastest when your with him.

Linden noticed your feelings and promised to help. You told him everything, and he helped you spend more time with Kieran. He thought it was best for you two. Linden would always excuse himself, giving you a thumbs up. Things were going great. You might confess soon.

One day, finally the words came out straight out of your mouth, you finally confessed to him, simple words such as I love you, but the meaning behind it hold such value, came out of your mouth.

He accepted it, and told you he loves you too, his eyes reflecting sincerity and honesty.

In such short conversation, you two had become couple, of course you two hang out together for the rest of the day, you even forgot about Linden.

You were over the clouds for the next whole week, and always with Kieran, well who wouldn't, when you have such a big crush on him?

Until, on a rainy day, while waiting for Kieran, you and Linden saw each other, you felt guilty for not talking with him and mostly for forgetting about him.

There was silence between you two for a moment, where only rain can be heard until Linden spoke.

*"Congratulations, now you got what you want, I'm guessing I'm no longer needed.."*he walked out of the cover, rain getting him soaked as he looked at you with a smile.
