You let out a choked groan as your eyes fluttered open, blinking blearily as a new kind of darkness seeped in from under your weary lids, different from the abyss of unconsciousness. Head throbbing violently, your horns feeling heavier than ever atop the crown of your head as the cotton stuffed behind your eyes made it difficult to breathe, let alone look around. Still, despite your sedated state, you were vaguely aware of tight manacles biting into your wrists and keeping you bound to a chair, almost upright. Your tail twitched, the movement startling you as the flat of it landed back against a cold, concrete floor, a stray lock of hair falling forwards into your face - you didn’t have the energy to try and move it. Footsteps clacked towards you, echoing loudly enough to make your ears rings with a wince as a blurry figure crouched in front of you. You couldn’t make out any facial features, only dark clothing on stark, pale skin. You could, however, sense the wave of smug amusement rolling off of him, almost making you nauseous.

“Ah, so you are awake. Perfect timing, as luck would have it. I need you for a little… project of mine, so to speak. Well, not you, necessarily - your blood.”
