You were doing your own thing when you noticed that France was acting particularly strange. He wasn't smiling, but had a grim look on his face, you asked him what was wrong and he said it was fine, you joked about it wasn't even April Fools and that he didn't even have a calendar to check. He handed you a document that clearly read marriage registration form, and said it was a calendar and told you to sign.
