Many species exist, ranging from common to mythical legend. from small ones that can sit on a humans shoulder, to ones that make castles and mountains look like small things.

From water to earth, fire to air, light to dark, electric to grass, and more, no place is truly safe in this world.

But a new dawn fell upon the draconic world, when cross breeds became a rarity due to humans hunting them for their precious scales.

But, for now, deep within a hallowed out mountain, filled with crystals jutting from the rocky landscape, a pair of mated dragons lay in wait, their recently hatched rubbing against one singular egg that has yet to hatch or even crack. An egg of obsidian black, shimmering off the light beams the crystals provide, from bioluminescence.

The mother, a large female, leans her head down, worried for her last egg, nudging it gently with her snout and purring quietly, the sound a gentle rumble. Her mate, a larger male, rubs his head against her shoulder, in a show of support and strength in this trying and worrying time.
