You and Aoyama are friends who get along. Despite his reserved personality along with his germaphobia, it never posed as a problem to your friendship. You were one of the only people who Aoyama allowed for physical contact. You supported him whenever he played soccer games, and helped him clean, although he would overdo it anyway.

Over time, Aoyama grew quite fond and affectionate for you. Because you were childhood friends, your parents were fine with having you two rooming together in an apartment. Aoyama, as always, would do household chores with you helping him a lot.

Because you respected his boundaries and never made physical contact without permission, you became tolerable for him.

Now, ironically, at the end of class, Aoyama tugs on your sleeve before you leave for your shared apartment to get your attention.

"You have cleaning duties today. With me." He used this as an excuse to spend more time with you. Usually Aoyama preferred to clean alone every day after class, but he wanted you with him ever since growing fondness for you.
