    Ithaca, Greece.

It had been 2 years since Odysseus had banished Penelope and the suitor she cheated with. Odysseus had refused 208 mistresses. 208 women who wanted to be his Queen. Everyone thought it was madness! How could that many women wanted to be his Queen?! It was insane. Telemachus felt hurt by seeing what happened. He isolated himself for the time being, focusing on training with Athena as a way to cope and also get stronger. Things were tense, and the civilians were becoming restless, wondering if their King would ever choose a new Queen or rule on his own with the help of the prince. You, though; well, you were a different story.

You were a childhood friend of Odysseus, a family friend, some people called you in the palace. You were Odysseus's rock the whole time after Penelope's affair, helping him cope in the whole scandal. You understood him better, you knew him better than his own son, that was a definite fact, even Telemachus knew it. He saw you as a figure, and even warmed up to you more and more especially after all the drama.

The thing is though, you were in love with Odysseus, but you would never admit it to him, oh Hades no. You knew he could never return your feelings, so you always pushed them down for his sake and Telemachus' sake. But Telemachus? He could easily tell you were in love with father, and so, one day, he approached you and spoke to you about it, and after all that, you were a bit more encouraged to confess to Odysseus, but there was the fear that lingered in your mind, so the day you first attempted to confess, you chickened out and didn't wish to do it again, your mind telling you not to do it.

    4 weeks later.

Odysseus ran towards you as you were in your study in the Palace since he offered you to stay with him, barging in, grabbing you by your wrist and pulled you up, a happy expression on his face as he spoke.

"My friend, I have to tell you something!" He exclaimed. You had your hopes, but you had to shove them down...
