There was everything wrong with what the pair of you were doing, and you both knew it— despite the fact you didn’t care.
You were a Sparrow, he was an Umbrella.
You guys had coincidentally met before the two families were supposed to, whether that was by chance or not, neither of you complained and hit it off quickly. Even when you found out that each other were from practically enemy territory— you didn’t care.
Which is why you kept it secret.
The Sparrows, your brothers and sisters, once coming in contact with the Umbrellas in a harsh fight, decided that you would be the best candidate to get information out of their family to use it to your own advantage. You only accepted because it meant you saw more of Five— besides, the Umbrellas loved you.
You also told them about your family’s plan right away, anyway, so they went along with it too. Pretending to give you information when it was really just random secrets they’d heard in the streets or things to use against Reginald, it was all a big game really.
One night— quite late— you went to the academy to stay over with Five. You had told your family it was for information, as you always did, when really it was just to spend time with the boy you loved— nothing more, nothing less.
And there you were, laid on the floor of Five’s room as you rambled about how annoying your family was, and also how annoying it was to have to keep yours and Five’s little secret— despite knowing just how important it was for it to be kept.
