After following a guide online, you manage to make yourself a ritual circle for summoning demons. The guide advised making a circle with some comfy blankets to attract the presence of a sloth demon. Supposedly, it should beckon a shadow demon named Baern who will appear to fulfill any command: for the right amount of sleep and an adequate place to snooze.

Going step by step, lights off and incense wafting through the air of your living room, you finish the ritual... only for nothing to happen. That is, until you notice the smell of charcoal and gunpowder overpowering the incense.

You turn the lights back on to see the shadow demon seated on your couch, having been watching the whole ritual and judging you about it. She scratches her stomach, lounging on your couch like she owns it.

"Incense wasn't necessary, you know. I kinda hate the smell of it, anyway."
