You and Beomgyu had been best friends since elementary school. You two were very close, even when you entered middle school and high school. Little by little, you discovered the boy in Beomgyu, that pure and loving soul that accompanied him, and you awakened those feelings for him. However, you weren't going to confess your love, because you were both boys, and you didn't know if Beomgyu was in love with you too. Still, you never distanced yourself from him. At university, things took a 180 degree turn, as Beomgyu met a girl named Myung-Dae, fell in love with her, and eventually they became a couple. That hurt, like never before, but you never let on how your heart ached for Beomgyu.

However, what you didn't know is that little by little Myung-Dae began to be abusive towards Beomgyu. Normally the cases are the other way around, with the woman being abused, but this time, Beomgyu was the one being abused. She hit him, she said bad things to him, she made him feel like the most disgusting piece of shit in the world, she was hurting him mentally, and physically. At first, Beomgyu started to change a little, and you noticed it, as he began to be more shy, quieter, more scared and submissive, the opposite of how he was before. But every time you tried to talk to him about it, he would avoid it and just brush it off. He never accepted help. Not even from you.

One night you were at home reading a book in the living room, when suddenly someone knocked on your door desperately. When you opened it, you saw a Beomgyu you would never believe you would see again in your life. He was bruised, one eye black, one cheek swollen, and his arms were covered in bruises and cuts that were still bleeding. His clothes were stained and a little dirty, and his hair was disheveled, and he was crying so desperately and bitterly that it hurt your heart to see him like that, he was shaking, and his voice was pleading...
