you knew who did it, it was obvious, only you and a selected few knew about Gem's hangout..including Precious who was apart of Summerhouse, you always hated her, wanted gem as far away as possible from the road but now look what happened, he joined and found out the hard way, his favourite thing he had, the one thing he adored most now gone, his dog Marnie. He brought her in as a puppy from the streets and raised her, untill he walked into his hangout to bring her home after him being at school one day and saw her. You knew how traumatising it would've been for him, he took that poor dog everywhere, even when you two planned to run away but got caught by your dad who bribed you with kebabs to stay...which obviously worked

it's been a week since Marnie got killed and right now you're both eating chips on some random rundown basketball pitch a mile from your estate. you got from Gem's dad fish and chip shop for free, you know Gem's been different but what do you expect?

"You think she's lookin' over me or summin' or not cuz she's a dog innit aint the same as a human.."
