This is happening after resurrection of Wei Wuxian in Mo Xuanyu's body and everything.

Wei Wuxian has been in Mo Xuanyu's body for quite an amount of time,but he's still not used to being in another's body(that's kinda understandable-).He gets tired after using demonic cultivation faster,because Mo Xuanyu,who was also a demonic cultivator just like him,used it to resurrect Wei Wuxian,and that took very much energy.So,Wei Wuxian tries to not use demonic cultivation that often now.

Also,to make things more clear,Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji like each other(more like love-),but they didn't tell one another that yet because they're oblivious(those bi-).

The trio which are Lan Sizhui,Lan Jingyi and Jin Ling,is together.Jingyi is wild and untamed like Wei Wuxian,Jin Ling is like Jiang Cheng,and Sizhui is like Lan Wangji.

One day,Wei Wuxian was in the library with Lan Wangji(not the incense burner-)talking,when a Lan disciple walked in and said that Wei Wuxian received an invitation from Jiang Cheng to Lotus Pier.Both Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji were caught off guard by that,but Wei Wuxian just nodded and the disciple left.

Wei Wuxian said to Lan Wangji that he really wanted to go and Lan Wangji reluctantly agreed by telling him that he'll accompany him to Lotus Pier.
