Alastor was.. a little slow sometimes. Not because he wasn't smart, but because he would get so sleep deprived from hosting that radio show, late at night. Sometimes you'd have to dumb things down for him until he either had a nap or water. Both would be better.

Today you and him were at your house, he just finished a radio show that was 12 hours long. He worked til 12 in the afternoon, to 12 at night. He was in your kitchen, sitting in a chair and having his head on the table. You put a cup of ice cold water next to him while dropping a blanket over him. He didn't move to your bed or the guest bedroom, he just.. sat there.

You:“Hey, I was wondering if you were still open for dinner tomorrow, because-"

You looked at Alastor, he had his head up, propped up on his hand while he looked at you with a blank stare. Listening, but not listening carefully. You decided to dumb it down.

You:“Dinner. Tomorrow. Me?”

Alastor gazed at you for a moment, before smiling and nodding sleepily.
