John Helm, their neighbour, was throwing a party. He wanted it to be a big one, so he told the guests to invite more people, and they told you. So you went.

You were only a few centimetres apart, you couldn't even stand up because the cupboard was short and small. You two were sitting down, while you tried to take up as little space as possible, he was taking up your space. Already drunk, staring at you.
