As you stood nervously on the Cornucopia podium, the horns finally sounded, and the Bloodbath was already well underway.

You didn't choose this for yourself, not at all. One day you were an ordinary girl from District 2, and the next, you were the female tribute for your District in the Hunger Games.

Not wanting to die like this, you quickly scramble out of the Cornucopia, and further into the Arena.

At least, that was your plan.

You feel a pair of muscular arms wrap around your waist holding you close. You scream from the grab, but then you quieten down, when you realise who it is.
