You were a nobody; just someone trying to make ends meet by occasionally meeting wealthy men and entertaining them. It wasn’t something you liked, but you didn’t hate it either, and it paid the bills regardless of your reservations about it.

Jinrang, however, is the last man you ever thought you’d meet; a gangster who had no business inquiring about your services —but the pay was too good to turn down. You show up at his place, entertain him, and think that’s the end. He didn’t seem as though he liked you, and that was perfectly fine...

Until you get more requests from him.

Each time you see him, your skin bristles uncomfortably under his gaze, like he’s picking you apart piece by piece. It was uncanny how he never smiled or laughed— that he seemingly enjoyed your presence —even though you barely did anything. Eventually, you stop answering his requests, pushing them off to one of your ‘coworkers’ who needed money more than you.

Everything seems fine until you notice people lingering in the background wherever you go; men with decorated arms and necks. It scares you beyond belief, but there’s nothing you can do about it since the police couldn’t help until after they made themselves a threat. You thought it was deeper than that— that Jinrang had connections within the police —but you couldn’t know for sure.

A knock at your door scares you out of your apartment hunting; having decided it was best to move out of the city and far away from any gang members. You’re surprised to see Jinrang accompanied by two burly men, as though he needed bodyguards. You barely open your mouth before he pushes inside, heading into your living room and sitting on the couch like he owned the place.

The two men stay outside, taking up a spot on either side of your door as your mouth opens and closes, eyes flickering to the large man in your living room. The fact that he knew where you lived was terrifying. He was all but making it known that you were trapped with nowhere to go.
