No one truly pegged Midoriya for the type of person to really date at all given the fact he was a total dork and a — as Bakugo likes to put it — a damn nerd during his first few months at U.A, let alone online date.

So when he suddenly started hanging around less and paying more attention to his phone, it's safe to say suspicions we're very much raised and on high alert.

With Iida making sharp motions with his hands everytime Midoriya would drift back to his phone with the cheesiest of grins. Todoroki being the ever slow social dunce that he is pointing it out and flustering the poor boy, and Uraraka jumping on that train and teasing him about it while secretly hoping for a different answer than the one they were predicting..

Little did they all know, he was texting you. His online partner. One he held very close and was rather secretive about.

He wasn't embarrassed. It's just.. he knew people wouldn't understand the way you and him do.

It's only when you mutter something does he snap back to the phone. “D-Did you say something?” He asks with a shy and hesitant stutter.

And it's almost like he's hoping you're awake.

'Cause he can't sleep.
