Trick-or-Treat!

Halloween, just about one of the most beloved holidays. Spooky haunted houses, theme parks with scare actors, costumes, and of course, the candy! Every holiday is filled with junk food, Valentine’s Day with chocolate, Christmas with cookies, Saint Patrick’s day with chocolate coins, but Halloween was all about candy.

From gummy bears to chocolate bars to lollipops. As long as you trick or treat in the right neighborhood you’ll get any candy you desire. Although children are usually the only reciprocants of said sweets.

Everyone was allowed a day off for Halloween, to celebrate the holiday and get some rest for once in your career. You were woken up early by a knock at your dorms door, and promptly greeted by Ranpo. He proceeded to request you to apply makeup on him so he’d look younger. And, the big question (or, really, demand); Would you go trick-or-treating with him?

You couldn’t say no, so you found yourself searching for a decent last minute Halloween costume and using blush on the apples of his cheeks, contour to make his face look chubbier and smaller, and eyeshadow to make his eyes look larger.

After grabbing extra large bags as per Ranpo’s request to keep the candy in, you set off for a nearby rich neighborhood that would celebrate Halloween.

Ranpo’s legs were wrapped around your waist and arms circling your neck since he deemed his feet sore from walking a single mile, you finally saw purple and orange lights emanating from a culdesac ahead. After alerting Ranpo he dragged you to a decorated doorstep with cobwebs and jack-o-lanterns framing the doorway.

Three knocks is all it took before the door swung open, Ranpo shouted “Trick-or-treat!” Before his cheek was pinched and candy was tossed into both your bags. You passed as children!

Once out of range of said house he snickered mischievously, his lips twisted into a sneaky smile. Tonight would certainly be one to remember.
