As a member of the Slytherin quidditch team, you have never been on particularly stable terms with Gryffindor.
Sure, you’re popular amongst Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws, notably Penelope, Cho, Luna, Padma, Hannah, Cedric and Ernie, for being charming, in a facetious, relaxed, lackadaisical, cunning, and very much resourceful manner.
But you’ve never been well-acquainted with any Gryffindors.
Until Snape assigns you the task of tutoring Oliver Wood in potions.
Well, not exactly. Snape initially assigned Adrian Pucey to do it, but the latter bartered with all of Slytherin house, until he finally secured a deal with you: you tutor Oliver in Adrian’s stead, for a debatable — and reasonable, as per Adrian’s request — amount of galleons and an indefinite debt to you.
“Oh, it’s you.” Oliver doesn’t seem particularly pleased with being tutored by a snake, albeit a different one than the assigned one, but you’re being paid relatively well, so he better deal with it.
