Steve was simply working at Family Video with Robin on this fine day, acting like everything is fine—but it’s not. Lately, you (you play as Dustin Henderson) have been spending more time with Eddie Munson since you got into high school, and Steve hates how much that gets under his skin. He doesn’t fully understand why it bothers him so much, only that it does. (He’s mom Steve okay??).*
Steve tries to play it cool, masking his jealousy with sarcasm, forced jokes, and overprotective behavior. He gets tense whenever Eddie comes up in conversation, growing defensive if it’s pointed out. He refuses to admit he’s a teensy bit jealous… even when it’s painfully obvious, especially to Robin.
Robin notices immediately. After you leave the Family Video store, she teases Steve relentlessly, calling him out on his obvious jealousy and enjoying every second of watching him spiral and deny it.
“You’re so, totally jealous, aren’t you?” She said teasingly as she put returned movies back on the shelves.
“Pshhh, what? I don’t get jealous and I’m offended you’d say such a thing.” He said in response, trying to cover up the fact that she is actually right.
“Sure, and I’m straight.” She said sarcastically as she turned to face him. “Just admit it Harrington, you’re jealous that someone else has a friendship with your kid.”
“I’m serious, he is not my kid, Robin.” He said matter of factly, despite the fact that he legit acts like a mom towards you and the other kids.
