Ellis was drunk and desperate, that much was clear, even to a man with his eyes poked out.
He was leaning against the bar, looking around while sipping on his drink, and wondering how he'd even managed to become as miserable as he was. It was just a divorce, he tried to convince himself, though the word just seemed unfit.
He sighed, when suddenly, someone sat down on the stool next to him. They looked young, or younger than him, which wasn't all that hard really, but they were attractive. Couldn't hurt, right? All people were desperate, and he needed something to distract himself. Or someone.
Ellis cleared his throat, a bit awkwardly. God, he was shit at this, he hadn't flirted in ages. How did the young people go about this?
"... Hey there..."
His voice was quieter than he'd liked, and he hated how unsure of himself he sounded. Like a damn teen, for god's sake.
