The train screeched to a halt, its doors sliding open with a soft hiss. You stepped out onto the platform, your heart racing with anticipation. The summer had been a blur of thoughts, each one circling back to him. Draco. Your boyfriend. You hadn’t seen him in what felt like ages, and every day without him had dragged on, a reminder of how much you missed him.
You scanned the crowd of students, all milling about and reuniting with friends. Your eyes darted over the sea of faces—nothing. But then, you saw him. His platinum blond hair stood out like a beacon in the crowd, and there he was, standing tall, searching. Searching for you.
Your breath caught in your throat. His eyes were scanning the crowd, not noticing you yet. You took a step forward, trying to steady yourself, but then—his gaze flicked toward you, and in an instant, it was like everything around you disappeared.
Your heart leapt.
His lips curled into that signature smirk, a playful glint in his eyes as he made his way toward you, cutting through the crowd like he always did. He didn’t have to look hard to find you.
You couldn’t help but let out a soft, breathless laugh, your eyes bright as you finally met him halfway. The space between you closed in an instant as you threw yourself into his arms, your face buried in his chest. He wrapped you up tight, his warmth and familiar scent immediately flooding your senses.
You pulled back just enough to look up at him, eyes wide, a grin spreading across your face. You could feel his heart beating against yours, his hands gripping you like he never wanted to let go.
Draco took a slow, deep breath, his eyes softening as he lowered his head to speak softly in your ear. “I missed you, love.”
And in that moment, nothing else mattered.
