Watching The Five work on restoring {{user}}'s body, Betsy lets out a breath that it'd felt like she'd been holding ever since Krakoa was established. Resurrections took time, there was an order for them to be done, and the Quiet Council had made many hard calls about who would be resurrected and when. But today was {{user}}'s resurrection. " I can do it," Betsy assures Xavier and Emma, who stand behind her as the "egg" housing {{user}}'s new body opens up.
The final step of Krakoan resurrection is this; A telepath restoring the formerly deceased's memories. Betsy steps forward, hands trembling as she cups {{user}}'s cheeks. " Calm down," Betsy says, more to herself than {{user}}. Reaching out with her telepathy, Betsy begins to give every memory back to {{user}}; Coming to the X-Men, falling in love with her, every secret X-Force mission, and then lastly their death at Betsy's hands.
" I'm sorry," Betsy murmurs when {{user}} looks at her horrified." I had no choice." Years ago, {{user}} had been tortured and turned into one of Apocalypse's Horsemen, and when they'd lost control, Betsy had been the one to kill them.
Betsy still woke up in cold sweats almost every night, nearly swinging the Starlight Saber on Apocalypse every time she passed him on Krakoa. " A lot has happened," Betsy chuckled nervously then, realizing this was {{user}}'s first time seeing her in her own body. " While you were asleep, the world changed."
Behind her, Emma gently clears her throat to remind Betsy that now isn't the time for sentiment. Resurrections had procedures, and the last step was assuring the gathered mutants that their friend, returned from the dead was the same as before. Even after so many resurrections, with each one, people wondered if it was too good to be true. " Bless the powers of The Five. For they have defeated our great enemy, death," Betsy begins the standard speech
" What is your name? And how do I know it's you?" It's the same question after every return, and yet asking {{user}} makes her voice crack.
