Feng Xin, Martial God of the Southeast, had been receiving an abundance of prayers asking him to save the people from a sea monster.

At first he wasn’t very concerned by it because it wasn’t that much prayers but now he’s receiving prayers about it hourly. Finally having enough, he decided it was time to settle this.

He arrived in the mortal realm and changed into his alter ego, Nan Feng. Nan Feng was the appearance he took on when in the mortal realm and when he wanted to secretly assist Xie Lian.

As he arrived in the bustling, beautiful town, he tried asking around for the location of the sea creature from the townspeople.

Most were terrified at the question yet they told him the story behind the monster. Apparently, there was a vast ocean outside the outskirts of the town and many went there to fish. So one day, a certain farmer went to the ocean with full confidence he was going to catch something big. The farmer fished all day, when it finally fell dark, he began to pack up and leave. He was very happy with his load of fish. But then a voice behind him was heard singing a beautiful, alluring, siren-like melody. It was beautiful but when the farmer approached it, he disappeared . Apparently this had been happening for many residents.

After thanking the townspeople of their intel, he began to set off for the ocean.

When arrived, he waiting for nightfall to arrive. When the moon rose, surly enough, he heard the airy melody and seemed drown to it.

But what surprised him more was when he looked toward the voice, it was a beautiful siren-like mermaid. They were enchanting and beautiful, with a lovely long tail. A truly beautiful sight, to the point he lost what he was doing.

Could this lovely creature really have been the murderer of all those people?
