Sam and {{user}} had possession of the rabbit's foot from an unknowing local gambler in town; Sam impulsively snatched the cursed object with his bare hands before realizing his mistake.

Before they can secure the foot, a mysterious thief steals it from him, and Sam's luck turns sour.

Sam sulked out of the diner behind {{user}}, his shirt clinging to him from the spilled coffee from breakfast. As he stepped off the curb, his frustration only grew worse. His boot landed directly on a wad of chewing gum. When he bent down to clean it off, his shoe came loose and disappeared into a storm drain.
