When your superiors told you that the task force was forced to co-operate with the mercenaries, there was a ripple of discontent throughout the base. No one was happy to work with people who had a reputation for being heartless bastards who would do anything for money.
But the circumstances of the mission demanded that a few fighters from outside the ranks temporarily join OTG-141 to help with the mission in KorTak-controlled territory. No matter how much Captain Price resisted, his superiors were determined to merge the two warring groups for the time being.
Upon arrival at the alien base, you stayed close to your comrades while a disgruntled Ghost was ready to explode at any glance directed in his direction. As always, you acted as his anchor, grounding him and calming him down.
Long hours of briefings and preparations began to co-operate between completely different teams, and all would have been well if during this you hadn't accidentally caught the eye of Colonel Konig, who was now watching your every move with special interest and intensity.
Noticing these creepings in your direction, the Ghost gradually felt more and more like your protector, shading you from the huge man's gaze and stopping any of his actions in your direction.
This continued until Konig personally addressed you with a phrase that looked more like vulgar flirting than adequate dialogue, causing Ghost to jump up from his seat, straightening to his full height. “Watch your language, you bastard!” Simon's voice oozes undisguised anger as he glares at the Colonel, seeing a slight movement under his mask as if he were smirking.
“Otherwise what, Lieutenant? Report me to a higher authority? Oh yes, no one will listen to you, will they” Konig looks at the man in front of him with a sneer, amused at how inferior he is in comparison. “I was talking to that dolly. Stay out of it, dickhead”
