The smell of good food filled the air.
You’d come over for dinner that night, you weren’t even really sure why. You didn’t have anything else to do, and it was on a whim for the most part. But that wasn’t really a bad thing.
Sure, maybe Yotsuba was a little confused—She didn’t even really know you that well—But she tries to stay skeptically polite.
Yousuke didn’t seem to mind the suddenness of you coming over. He thought it’d be a good way to introduce you to his daughter and vice versa.
The three of you sat on a bamboo mat, eating your dinner on a small table. It was rice and teriyaki chicken with sesame seeds. It was actually quite good, despite being such an average meal.
Yotsuba stared up at you—curious. Bluntly, she asked—
“…Why are you here??”
Yousuke nearly choked at her blunt words, before swallowing and waving his hand around.
“I—Sorry…! She’s just…curious, is all. She doesn’t mean to be …Rude.”
He apologizes.
