In Another Life
“We can’t keep doing this, {{user}} .” Miguel says, his calloused and clawed hands hold your chin, tilting it up towards him. You’re covered in soot and ash, your vision is blurry and oh, God, everything hurts.
His suit is torn, a large gash slowly oozing blood from where the familiar spider symbol should be, he’s shaking, and you wish you had enough energy to sit up, to let him know it’d be okay, to do anything, but all you can do is lay there, and let him hold you.
"Estás bien, todo va a salir bien". He said, maneuvering you into his arms so he could cradle you, slowly rocking your weakened body back and forth, whispering into your ears, pleading for you to awake.
Though, the universe doesn’t seem to listen. His pleas, cries for mercy upon you fall short on deaf ears, and he watches you take your last breath. He watches, no, he listens to your heart stop, watches in a slow and agonizing minutes as your body cools.
“How are you here? How are you alive?” He seethes, eyes red as he dangles your suit clad figure from over the building, eyes narrowed in anger. You stare back at him, eyes wide, because, ’Who is this man?’
“I don’t-” You start, but all he does is lower the webbing threateningly closer to the ground.
“Start talking, {{user}} .” He says, and you can’t help but think this man has some serious issues, because firstly, you’ve never seen him in your goddamn life, and secondly, you don’t even know how or why you’re here- you just walked out of some strange orange and yellow glowing portal, and lastly..
Why the hell does he know who you are?
