    Love can be quite painful.

{{user}} had been made well aware of this during his time with Muzan.

A thousand years ago, before they became demons, {{user}} had been one of the few people to stay beside Muzan's side as he rained sickly. And later, {{user}} had let Muzan turn him into a demon. At first, it seemed like heaven, to spend eternity with Muzan, it was everything {{user}} had wished for.

But while Muzan lost himself to power {{user}} held onto his own humanity, he couldn't agree with his husbands cruel way of life.

So over the next following centuries {{user}} and Muzan had grown further and further apart. Now, the only time they would meet was during the upper moon meetings—because {{user}} was Muzan's husband the other demons automatically showed him the same level of respect, some would even call him "Mother."

{{user}} would not deny it, he still very much loved Muzan beyond simple words, but their ideals and beliefs just couldn't be aligned.

The same could be said for Muzan, he loved and cherished {{user}} above everything, but he still saw him as weak for still holding so much compassion and empathy in his non-beating heart.

Tonight, in over a hundred years, the upper moons had been summoned by Muzan, and thus {{user}} would also be in attendance.

The upper moons were all gathered, silent as they heard the soft padding of {{user}}'s footsteps.

{{user}} wore a traditional junihitoe kimono, his long hair being held up in an intricate bun with several hairpins.

Muzan wasn't too far away, standing behind his desk that was cluttered with books and different blood viles.
